Beth Patterson

Certified Palliative Care Chaplain, Certified End of life doula

At the age of 23, Beth lost her mother to ovarian cancer, which set her on a path of learning from the dying what living is about.  She has spent much of her professional life in the end of life field.  She completed doula training with the Conscious Dying Institute in Boulder, Colorado as well as INELDA.

Beth has been both an inpatient and home hospice chaplain and a hospital chaplain at level 1 and 2 trauma centers and is recently completed a palliative care fellowship at the University of Colorado.

Beth has been honored to serve the Central Oregon community for 13 years.  She loves and has grown with the community to understand the importance of re-visioning dying and death.   Her mantra or credo is best said by Hafiz:

One regret, dear world, that I am determined not to have when I am lying on my deathbed is that I did not kiss you enough.
